Overview

In Quantive Results there are a few features that support sharing with other team members, namely:

  • Sessions

  • Insightboards

  • KPIs

  • Whiteboards

  • Reports

When an item from the above list is shared with a user - they will receive an in-app notification and an email notification - notifying them that there is a Session in Quantive Results shared with them, for example.

Notification settings

By default, both in-app and email notifications should be switched on. To personalize these settings there is an individual toggle called "Sharing" under the account notification settings(for account admins) and personal notification settings(for every user) in Quantive Results.

And you're in full control of enabling/disabling the in-app Quantive notifications and email notifications.

Notifications trigger

Receiving a notification is one side of the story. Sending the notification is the other. For Sessions, KPIs, and Insightboards, sharing with others and respectively notifying them happens through the "permissions" component.

A notification will be triggered towards any user, team(group of users), or user role(group of users). But whether the user is notified would depend also on their personal notification settings. If they switch off their sharing notifications - they will not receive a notification.

πŸ’‘ Notifications will not be triggered based on the "Everyone in the account" and "Everyone in the admin role" permission selection - as those are considered to have a special "access purpose" rather than being an intentional sharing and notification event.

For Whiteboard and Reports, sharing with others and respectively notifying them happens through the "Who has access?" component.

Similar rules apply here as well. A notification will be triggered towards any user, team(group of users), or user role(group of users).

πŸ’‘ Notifications will not be triggered based on the "Everyone can view" and "Everyone can edit" access selections - as those are considered to have a special "access purpose" rather than being an intentional sharing and notification event.

Notification example

Once an item was shared with the user they should receive a similar notification in the app and over email.
