Overview

Any action items that require your attention are visible in the To-dos widget and can be easily handled directly from there.

Categories of items

In the To-dos widget, you can find up to four item categories in the following order depending on the account settings and your personal permissions:

  • OKRs

  • KRs

  • Check-ins

  • Tasks

If a category has no actionable items, it will not be displayed.

OKRs to approve

Any OKRs that are part of a session that has not been archived and have been sent for approval to you are shown under the OKRs section of the widget. If you lost access to a session in which you were asked to approve an objective, then you will not see that objective in the widget anymore. If an objective is achieved or abandoned, that objective will not show in the OKRs section in the To-dos widget.

The OKRs in that section are listed by the soonest end date of the session first. If there is more than one OKR whose sessions end at the same time, then the objectives are ordered alphabetically.

To open the details view of the objective in a side panel, click on the objective title. There you can decide to approve or decline the OKR.

To immediately approve an objective, click on the "Approve" button. The "Approve Objective" modal will open and once you finish the approval, the OKR will disappear from the widget.

NOTE: If you do not have Manage OKRs permission, you will not see the OKRs section in the To-dos widget.

Key Results to update

Any key results that have not been updated in the current cadence are listed in the Key Results section in the To-dos widget. If an objective is achieved or abandoned, its KRs will not show in the Key Results section in the To-dos widget. Moreover, if a KR is part of a session whose timeframe has passed or if the session is archived, that KR will not show in the widget either. If you lost access to a session in which you owned a KR, then you will also not see that KR anymore in the widget.

Key Results are sorted by priority based on whether they are overdue or not. Overdue KRs are listed first from most overdue to least overdue, followed by tasks due soonest to furthest in the future. If there are any ties in the sorting, tasks are ordered alphabetically. Keep in mind that soft and hard deadlines override the session due date.

A KR that has been updated in the current cadence, disappears from the To-dos widget until the following cadence.

To open the details view of the KR in a side panel, click on the Key Result title. To immediately update a KR, click on the "Update" button. The "Update Key Result" modal will open and once you publish the update, the KR will disappear from the widget.

NOTE: If you do not have Manage OKRs permission, you will not see the KRs section in the To-dos widget.

Check-ins to fill out

If you are a member of a team that has "Check-ins" enabled, and you have not published your Check-in for the current cadence, the team's name will appear in the Check-ins section of the To-dos widget.

When you have multiple teams to fill out a Check-in for, the teams in which you are a manager will be listed first, followed by the teams in which you are a member. In case of ties based on these criteria, the teams will be ordered alphabetically.

Click on the name of the team to be redirected to the "Check-ins" page in that team's profile.

If you want to fill out your Check-in, click on the "Fill out" button and you will be redirected to the "Check-ins" page in that team's profile where the form to fill out your Check-in will be automatically opened and ready for you to write in.

NOTE: If your plan does not support "Check-ins" OR if the "Check-ins" feature is disabled for the account OR if you do not have Access People permission, you will not see the Check-ins section in the To-dos widget.

Tasks to update

Any tasks that have the status "To-do" or "In progress" appear in the Tasks section of the To-dos widget. If a task belongs to an abandoned objective or to a session that has been archived or whose timeframe has passed, then that task will not show in the widget.

Tasks with due dates are given priority and listed first, followed by tasks without due dates. Tasks with due dates are further sorted by priority based on whether they are overdue or not. Overdue tasks are listed first from most overdue to least overdue, followed by tasks due soonest to furthest in the future. If there are any ties in the sorting, tasks are ordered alphabetically.

To open the task's details view click on the task's name and a side panel will open.

To change the status of a task directly from the widget, click on the status button next to the task. A dropdown menu with status options opens and you can directly change the status of the task from there.

If you change the status to "Done", the task will disappear from the widget but you will have 5 seconds to undo this action if you clicked it by mistake by clicking on the "Undo" button in the toast message that appears on the screen.

NOTE: If your plan does not support Tasks?? OR if the "Tasks" feature is disabled for the account OR if you do not have Manage Tasks permission, you will never see the Tasks section in the To-dos widget.
