Overview

Most KRs are expected to be delivered linearly with regular updates, but for those that are not, you could use KR Milestones. Adding a KR Milestone to a KR allows you to precisely alter the trendline of the KR to more accurately represent the expected rate of achievement.

Prerequisites

  1. KR Milestones are available on the Enterprise plan only.

  2. KR Milestones need to be enabled in the Methodology tab before they are available in the KR Create and Edit modal.

  3. KR Milestones are available only for "Should increase" and "Should decrease" types of KRs.

How to

Create a KR Milestone

  1. Open the KR you wish to add a Milestone to and click on the Meatballs menu and then Edit.

  2. Under the Target value you will find the Add a Milestone button.

  3. Once you click it two input fields will be shown – for the KR value and the date of the KR.

  4. Input the values for which you want to set a Milestone.

  5. KR Milestones will automatically reorder in chronological order.

  6. After Saving the changes the KR Milestones will be visible in the KR Chart.

View the KR Milestones

  1. KR Milestones can be viewed in the KR chart by hovering on the dots.

  2. KR Milestones can be viewed by opening the KR Edit modal.

Editing a KR Milestone

  1. Editing a KR Milestone is done through the KR edit modal.

Deleting a KR Milestone

  1. Deleting a KR Milestone is done through the KR edit modal by clicking the can icon on the right-hand side of each KR Milestone.

  2. If all the KR Milestones are deleted the KR Chart trendline returns to the default state of linear progression.

Limitations

  1. KR Milestone values need to be within the starting and ending values of the KR.

  2. KR Milestone dates need to be within the range of the session in which the KR is.

  3. You can have only one KR Milestone per given day.
