Quantive Results enables quick and easy integration with Microsoft Teams so users can share, view, and update their OKRs without leaving MS Teams. Having this integration configured makes it easier for OKR champions to provide OKR update reminders and an easy channel for interacting with Quantive Results, thus boosting engagement and improving end user experience.

This article will guide you through the necessary steps to enable the integration by default for all users in your organization.

Configure an app setup policy

To enable the Quantive Results integration by default you must leverage the MS teams App setup policies mechanism. This is done via the MS teams Admin Center, so you will most likely need to engage your IT team about implementing the steps below.

  1. Go to your Microsoft Teams admin center

  2. Navigate to Teams Apps -> Setup policies

  3. Add a new policy or edit an existing policy by clicking on its name in the list

  4. On the policy configuration screen go to the Installed Apps section and click on the Add apps button

  5. Search for the Gtmhub application and add it.

Optionally, if you want to pin the Gtmhub app for your users, once you've added the app to your policy, you can repeat the above step for the Pinned apps section.

  6. Finally, click on the Save button to persist your policy changes.

Assign the policy to users in your organization

Once you have the policy configured, you must assign it to a set of users for the policy to take effect. You can enable the policy for all users (globally), selected groups or individuals. For example:

  1. On the App setup policies screen select the desired policy from the list and click on Manage users in the menu above

  2. Search for an individual or a group and click on the Apply button to apply the policy

Alternatively, you can do the same on a per-user basis, by going to Microsoft teams admin center -> Users -> Manage users. Find the user you want to apply the policy to, click on the Policies tab and apply the desired policy.

Applications added to users via the app setup policy mechanism usually appear right away. If a user from your organization is not seeing the Gtmhub application in their MS Teams app after applying the policy, verify if they are included in the groups the policy is assigned to, and ask them to logout and log back in to their MS Teams. A successful setup should result in all users seeing the Quantive Results MS Teams integration greeting upon loading their MS teams:

The Quantive Results message extension will also be available for your users to select and share OKRs with colleagues.
