Create and manage custom Whiteboard templates that only your organization has access to

Overview

Empower your organization's collaboration and productivity with custom whiteboard templates! Tailor these templates to your organization's specific needs, allowing users to brainstorm, plan, and visualize ideas seamlessly.

*This feature is available only for Enterprise pricing plan.

Prerequisites

Users assigned the default Admin role can create, edit and delete custom Whiteboard templates.

For a custom role (e.g. OKR Coach) role permission needs to be enabled (Manage Whiteboard Templates permission under General)

Create custom Whiteboard templates

  1. Create a new Whiteboard or open an existing one

  2. Click on the option dots on the Whiteboard

  3. Select 'Save as a template'

  4. Fill in the below fields:

    Template name will be populated from the Whiteboard name but you can change it

    Description of the template is optional but can give more context to the users using the template

  5. After filling in the details hit 'Save'

  6. The template will be saved in the 'Start with a template' template section

5. 'Save as a template' option is also available when browsing all templates

Edit and delete custom Whiteboard templates

  1. Click on 'Start with a template' to navigate to all templates. If you have custom Whiteboard templates you'll see two new tabs:

By my organization - All templates created for your organization by various users

My templates - The templates you've created

2. From both tabs click on the three dots of a template

3. Edit option allows to modify the name and description of the template

4. Delete option deletes the template and it is no longer available to the users in the account

*NB: Only template creators can delete their own templates. Users with permission to Manage Whiteboard Templates/admins can only edit the templates of other users

Using the templates as a regular user

Users that don't manage Whiteboard templates and have access to the Whiteboards module are able to select a template and create a new Whiteboard from the below:

  • Custom-created for their organization (Under 'By my organization')

  • Default templates created by Quantive (Under 'By Quantive')
