Overview

The Reports module, previously known as Lists, offers a convenient way to perform quick queries on Objectives, Key Results, Teams, Tasks, and Employees, along with the ability to apply additional filters. This module provides valuable data that is well-suited for reporting purposes. If you wish to explore Lists further, you can find more information here.

In addition to the list format, the Reports module also allows you to visualize the data in the form of charts. These charts serve multiple purposes, including sharing them during OKR meetings or incorporating them into presentations. By presenting data visually, these charts offer a clear and concise representation of the information, enabling effective communication and analysis.

Create Charts

After creating a report (more about creating reports here.) click on the menu next to the filters and select from any of the chart views:

  • List view (default)

  • Pie view

  • Bar view

  • Line view

Use the side panel settings menu to configure the charts

After closing the menu you can come back to the settings by clicking on the Chart settings button

When ready with the chart click on Save to apply the changes to the report or Save as to save as a new report

Chart types

Pie view - A pie chart is useful for illustrating the composition or proportion of different parts in a whole.

Chart settings:

  • Display as - Pie or Donut display

  • Category - The circular chart is divided into slices, where each slice represents a category selected

  • Values, Aggregate values (*values explained in a section below)

Bar view - A bar chart is useful for comparing categorical data or displaying the distribution of a single variable.

Chart settings:

  • Horizontal axis - Data that will be represented in rectangular bars with lengths proportional to the values they represent

  • Values, Aggregate values (*values explained in a section below)

  • Color - color of the bars

Line view - Line charts are excellent for showing patterns, fluctuations, or trends in data sets

Chart settings:

  • Horizontal axis - Data that will be represented in series of points connected by line segments

  • Values, Aggregate values (*values explained in a section below)

  • Color - color of the lines

Values and Aggregations

Aggregated vs not Aggregated data:

  • Aggregate values - off - With this option chosen, each value in the selected field is treated separately and no calculations are applied. This option is usually used when you would like just to see all numeric values in a chart and not apply calculations to them (e.g. sum)

  • Sum - Adds all the values in that field up.

  • Average - Takes arithmetic mean of the values.

  • Min - Shows the smallest value.

  • Max - Shows the largest value.

  • Count - Counts the number of values in that field that aren't blank.

Limits

Some categories in the list view can have too many records. When populated in the chart this can break the visualization (chart + legend).

Limit of displayed column records: 100

In case the limit is hit an error appears.
