Access The Guided Draft OKRs Creation

The Guided Draft OKRs Creation within a Whiteboard capability can be accessed from a few different places:

  • Whiteboards page - “Suggest OKRs” button in the top navigation

  • Empty Whiteboards page - “Create your first Whiteboard” > “Start with Suggestions” > “Suggest OKRs”

  • Home page - “Create OKR” > “Suggest OKRs”

  • OKR Grid page - “Create OKR” > “Suggest OKRs”

  • OKR Alignment view - Ellipsis menu > “Suggest Child Objectives”

  • Objective's detailed view - Ellipsis menu > “Suggest Child Objectives”

Step 1: Describe your goals

  1. Select an Active Session

To ensure that the Objectives and Key Results you are being suggested are aligned with your current goals and priorities, select an active session for which you want to draft OKRs. You can select only one session for which to create OKRs.

When you access the Guided Draft OKRs Creation within a Whiteboard capability from the OKR Grid, the OKR Alignment view, or the Objective Details view, then the session field is already prefilled, and the session cannot be altered. Furthermore, when you access the capability from the “Suggest Child Objectives” button, then there is an additional parent field visible, which is also automatically prefilled and cannot be altered, but it is taken into account for additional context when suggesting OKRs.

  2. Select People or Teams Involved

Select the people or teams who will be involved in the OKRs that will be suggested. This will allow our AI-powered technology to leverage the context of the people/teams involved and create highly contextual OKRs specific to your needs. At least one person or team should always be selected in this field.

  3. Describe Your Goals

Describe the goals you want to achieve with the suggested OKRs in simple language. For example, you could write something as straightforward as "OKRs for revenue team that's working on improving profitability." This will provide our AI-powered technology with the necessary information to suggest Objectives and Key Results that are aligned with your goals. The more context you provide, the more relevant the suggestions will be.

  4. Once you have filled in all the necessary information, click on "Suggest Objectives."

Step 2: Select Objectives

Once you click on "Suggest Objectives" a list of Objectives tailored to your specific needs is generated. Each suggested objective has a title, a short description, and an owner. You can review each Objective separately, edit it to fit your requirements, or suggest more Objectives until you're satisfied.

Edit Objectives

If you are happy with a suggestion you have received but want to change something in its title or description or alter the owners, simply click on the pen icon in the top right corner to go into edit mode. Once you are happy with the changes you have made, click on the accept button.
If you decide that you want to keep the suggestion as is, click on the "X" button to discard the changes you just made.

Remove Objectives

If you decide that a suggestion is not useful to you, you can remove it by clicking on the "X" button in the top right corner.

Suggest more Objectives

If you want to see more suggestions, click on the "Suggest more" button. This will suggest up to 3 more suggestions at once. You can again decide to edit them, remove them or keep them as they are.

Add Objectives manually

Whether you are keeping objective suggestions or not, you might want to create an objective manually, be it because you thought of something you did not include in your goals or because the suggestions that were given to you inspired you to create additional ones. To do so, simply click on "Add Manually", and a new objective card will appear with a field to fill in an objective title and a dropdown to select one or more owners for the objective. Once you are ready with the provided information, click the accept button to save the objective. In case you decide you no longer want to include that objective, click on the "X" button to remove the objective.

Once you've selected and/or created all Objectives you want to keep, you should click on "Suggest Key Results".

Step 3: Select Key Results

Once you've selected and/or created all Objectives you want to keep, you can get 3 suggestions for Key Results for each of them. You can edit any Key Result, remove it, suggest more Key Resultss, or add Key Results manually. This will ensure that your Objectives are specific, measurable, achievable, and relevant.

Edit Key Results

If you are happy with a Key Result suggestion you have received but want to change something in its title, click on the pen icon that appears on hover next to the Key Result to go into edit mode. Once you are happy with the changes you have made, click on the accept button. If you decide you want to keep the suggestion as is, click on the "X" button to discard the changes you just made.

Remove Key Results

If you decide that a suggestion is not useful to you, you can remove it by clicking on the "X" button that appears next to it on hover.

Suggest more Key Results

If you want to see more suggestions, click on the "Suggest more" button. This will suggest up to 3 more suggestions at once. You can again decide to edit them, remove them or keep them as they are.

No matter if you are keeping Key Result suggestions or not, you might want to create a Key Result manually, be it because you thought of something you did not see suggested or the suggestions that were given to you inspired you to create additional Key Results. To do so, simply click on "Add Manually", and a new Key Results field will appear to fill in a Key Result title. Once you are ready with the provided information, click the accept button to save the Key Result. In case you decide you no longer want to include that Key Result, click on the "X" button to remove the Key Result.

Once you're happy with your OKRs, you can continue by clicking on "Add OKRs to whiteboard".

Step 4: Create Draft OKRs within a Whiteboard

Once you click on "Add OKRs to whiteboard", you will go to a newly created Whiteboard, where all Objectives and Key Results will be inserted as Draft OKRs. The name of the whiteboard is in the format {Name} 's suggestions {dd/mm/yyyy}). You can then share them with your teams or colleagues for feedback and collaboration or can also publish them.
