Overview

This capability suggests tasks that can help you achieve your Objectives or Key Results by using generative AI to analyze various factors and suggests tasks most relevant to your Objective/Key Result.

In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to use it. You can also watch the video walkthrough.

Enable Platform Intelligence

Platform Intelligence needs to be enabled for the account for this capability to be available. See How to Enable Platform Intelligence for details on enabling Platform Intelligence (PI).

ℹ︎ Platform Intelligence capabilities are available on the Commercial and Enterprise plans only.

View Suggested Tasks

To view suggestions for tasks:

  1. Open any Objective/Key Result within an active session that you have the right to edit.

  2. One way to do this is by clicking on the "OKRs" tab in the navigation menu and selecting the Objective or Key Result you want to work on.

  3. There are two places where you can access the suggestions:

    1. Scroll down to the "Tasks" section.

      1. There, you see up to 3 suggested tasks based on whether any tasks have already been created for that Objective/Key Result. You can tell suggestions apart from actual tasks by their dashed outline, the suggestion icon, and the fact that on hover, the "Suggest Another" and "Add this Suggestion" buttons appear for the suggestion.

    2. Click on the “Suggestions” button in the top right corner of the Objective/Key Result

      1. Click on the “All suggestions” tab. There, you see up to 3 suggested tasks based on whether or not any tasks have already been created for that Objective/Key Result. If 3 tasks were already created and there are no longer any inline task suggestions, you will still see the “Tasks” section in the “All suggestions tab” with one additional task suggestion. If less than 3 tasks are created for the Objective/Key Result, then you will see the same suggestions in the side panel as inline. The “Tasks” section in the side panel is always visible with at least one task suggestion no matter the number of tasks that have been created for the Objective/Key Result.

ℹ︎ The inline task suggestions within the Objective/Key Result details view are the same as those in the “All suggestions” tab on the Suggestions side panel. Any action taken on a suggestion no matter where it is located, is reflected on the same suggestion inline or in the side panel, respectively.

Accept a Suggested Task

To accept a suggestion for a task:

  1. Click on the "Add this Suggestion" button within the suggestion card, either inline or in the “All suggestions” tab in the Suggestions side panel. The suggestion is then converted into an actual task and is added to the Objective/Key Result, and you can start working on it immediately. Accepting a suggested task that appears both inline or in the Suggestions side panel removes this suggestion from both places.

Suggest Another Task

If you don't like any of the suggested tasks, you can refresh them. To do so, click on the "Suggest Another" button for any of the task suggestions either inline or in the “All suggestions” tab in the Suggestions side panel, and a new one will replace that suggestion.

Check Details of AI-generated Task

Once you have accepted a task, click on its title to open it and see its details. You can see that the task description and the Objective/Key Result it is linked to are already automatically pre-filled based on the Objective/Key Result title and owner.
