Box Content Cloud is a secure platform for all content. Box’s cloud drive works for virtually any file type, enabling multiple people to collaborate without the risk of version-control issues.
Box can be integrated with Quantive to sync data from Excel Spreadsheet files - only .xls and .xlsx formats are supported.
How to connect
In Quantive, navigate to Insights -> Data Sources screen.
Click the Add new data source button.
From the Choose a connector dialog, select the Files tab and then Box - Excel Spreadsheet
Give a name for the connection:
Once you authenticate with your Box credentials and grant the necessary permissions to read data from your account you will be able to choose the Excel spreadsheet you want to pull data from:
Select the entity you want. Give your data source a name and then choose its sync schedule.
Now you are ready to write or create codeless Insights, and automate Key Results and KPIs with Box Excel Spreadsheets data.
Troubleshooting
If you make changes to your spreadsheet, wait 5-10 minutes after the last change to the file and re-sync. If the changes involved changing a column heading or adding/deleting a column, you can expand the connected data source, check for a schema change and update the schema as necessary.
